Green Overdrive cruises the streets in electrified $18,000 VW Bug


DIY-er and businessman Al Bullock was electrified in 1970 Volkswagen Beetle that the conversion of conventional gasoline-powered cars that run on batteries, not the proverbial arm and leg costs. Total investment of $ 18,000, bought Bullock, fully restored and turned into a VW Beetle state highway electric car.

Converting said Beetle tops 85 miles per hour and has a range of about 100 km. We are pleased to DIY data in spitting distance of a list of Nissan speed and scope of its official EPA rating. The price is much better, too.
