Japanese automakers focus on fuel-efficient sub compact cars

Drive to develop fuel-sipping subcompact car in Japan, according to a report issued by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA). JAMA says that "a fascinating new type of competition seems to be cooking," says that "the trend towards improved fuel is costly and this fuel sipping latest offering in Japan shows how fast technology evolves."

JAMA report explains that relate specifically to the Japanese automakers Toyota Prius fuel efficiency, "King of the Hill" in terms of miles per gallon with a rating of 89 mpg in the 10-15 Japanese test cycle. Of course, the Prius hybrid compact car, but no Japanese cars to discourage attempts od develop a gasoline-powered subcompact, které close to compensate for fuel-sipping Prius 'skills'.

Example. Non-hybrid Honda Fit Speakers fuel economy rating of 58 mpg and the Nissan Micra / March, returning 61 mpg in the 10-15 Japanese test cycle Daihatsu Move 0.66-liter engine is still impressive 64 mpg rating. However, Mazda introduced its G-SkyActiv equipped Demio (Mazda2) is planned for later this year will likely be a first place in Japan, the subcompact, gasoline-powered fuel war with a score of 71 mpg.

If the JAMA report concludes: "Competition is stimulating and subcompact Japanese cars continue to" develop new standards for superior fuel economy. " It is a battle we can figure out.
