Lyle Dennis logs 5,100 miles in Chevy Volt, burns 46 gallons of gas, averages 111 mpg

In September 2010, General Motors announced that Dennis Lyle, Bill Nye, Jim Woolsey, Brian Wynn and 11 others were selected to join the Chevrolet Volt Client Advisory Committee. 15 board members to "experience the Volt every day in the real world conditions for three months of the vehicle and load evaluation of the program."

Lyle Dennis, the owner of GM Volt.com received November 11 volts, from that time until February 9, Dennis' Volta collected 5100 miles, just 46 liters a burning gas. Despite the fact that the average daily commute of 60 miles roundtrip from the plug-in hybrids, pure electric range of 25 to 50 miles, Dennis found that the Volt is more fuel-sipping vehicles, nearly 111 miles per gallon in the car in the beginning of life. It is remarkable that Dennis, who lives in New York, ran through his sharp Volt, the extent of the damage to the weather that hit the Northeast several times this winter.

Dennis returned the keys to his V test after 90-day trial and is now the proud owner of the production 2011 Chevy Volt. For some people, paired off, never to return.
